The
Human
Condition

Playwright Julie Jensen keenly observes the infinite varieties of the human condition with clarity, richness, hilarity, and poignance.

Julie Jensen’s work for theatre resonates with her upbringing in the small town of Beaver, Utah, which was settled by mormons in 1856. While her award winning plays have captivated audiences nationwide, at her core there remains the perspective of a westerner, a Utahn.

Julie has been writing plays since she was nine years old. She has now written more plays than Shakespeare. Virtually all of them have been professionally produced, and more than a dozen have been published. Her work has been produced in New York, London, Hamburg, Edinburgh. and theaters across America. She was the resident playwright at the Salt Lake Acting Company.

This site chronicles her ongoing work. It includes numerous playbills, production notes, script samples, publications, and an occasional video. Select from her numerous Theatre Works, below, e.g., Drama, Comedy, or All (default).
