Trailer for the motion picture version “Two-Headed,” directed by Veronica Brady.

TWO-HEADED

A play about Mormons in southern Utah, where I grew up, and where the most devout of them, my great-great uncle included, carried out the largest white-on-white massacre in American history, killing 127 people from Arkansas and Missouri on their way to California. Today it would be called terrorism. Then it was called vengeance.

The play focuses on two girls, daughters of the perpetrators, and how, over the course of their lives, they deal with the subject that is never mentioned. The play is written using a story-telling method of focusing on one day every ten years.
