SHE WAS MY BROTHER
A Zuni man, who passed as a woman, and in fact, visited Washington, met the President and the Congress, as a woman. That’s the back story. The front story is that two white anthropologists for the Smithsonian, a man and a woman, both fall in love with this very beautiful Native, much against the rules of anthropological study and Victorian mores of the day.
